Portsmouth has two main railway stations: Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea. Direct trains to London Waterloo take approximately 90 minutes. The city is 70 miles from London. Road links include the M27 motorway, which connects to the M3, and the A3(M). The city is partially encircled by the Portsmouth Ring Road. Southampton Airport is the nearest, 22 miles away. Portsmouth is a major coastal port with regular ferry services to the Isle of Wight, Spain and France.
