Moray is served by the Aberdeen–Inverness railway line, with main stations in Elgin and Forres. A journey to London takes approximately 8-9 hours. The region is connected by the A96 trunk road linking Aberdeen and Inverness, and the A95 to the south. Inverness Airport, approximately 30 miles southwest of Elgin, is the nearest major airport. The coastal town of Buckie has a small commercial port.
