Fenland is served by the Ely to Peterborough railway line, with March as its principal station. A journey from March to London King's Cross takes approximately 80 minutes. The district is crossed by the A47 and A141 trunk roads, with the A1(M) motorway to the west. Cambridge Airport is the nearest, approximately 30 miles south. The Port of Wisbech on the River Nene handles commercial freight.
